This morning in lieu of bitching about how miserable I am, I'm going to have a bit of fun. I don't usually listen to music on my commute (because I'm too obsessed with audio books, as you know) but this morning was an exception (my new audio book sucks).
While listening, I thought it would be fun to make a lyrical to-do list, that is, a list of lyrics that mention something I would like to do. I'm gonna kick it off with Bloc Party, a band my friend Phil, or rather his MySpace page, introduced to me a few years ago.
"Let's drive to Brighton on the weekend" - Bloc Party
Um... eh... hmm. This isn't as easy and it's definitely not as fun as I thought it would be. I guess it's not something one can do off the top of one's head... or even with the help of the Internet. It just seems like Bloc Party is the only band offering me something to do - all of the other bands are just out there doing things instead of planning to do things.
So, what's La Pointe of It All? It's this - instead of talking about doing something, just do it.
